Ms. Matthews brings over 20 years of experience as a dedicated school psychologist specializing in comprehensive educational and psychological assessments. Her extensive career includes conducting vocational evaluations and providing support across a wide age range, from pre-kindergarten children to adult learners. Ms. Matthews is committed to fostering educational success and personal growth through tailored interventions and collaborative approaches. Her expertise in identifying and addressing diverse learning needs ensures that each individual receives the necessary support to thrive academically and personally.
Ms. Matthews serves on the Guardianship Examining Committee in the Ninth Judicial Circuit, where she conducts examinations of individuals alleged to be incapacitated. In this role, she evaluates these individuals' mental and physical condition to help determine their capacity for self-care and decision-making, ensuring that their rights and well-being are protected.
Ms. Matthews is a proud mother to an amazing daughter and a devoted grandmother to a beloved grandson. She is deeply committed to community service, volunteering countless hours, and raising funds for worthy causes, including the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association, and the United Negro College Fund. Her passion for mentoring teenage girls has driven her to be an active mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters for over 20 years. Additionally, she is an active member of the Orange County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, where she continues to impact her community positively.
