Our services include intelligence and aptitude testing, neuropsychological screenings, and evaluations of executive functioning. For individuals considering bariatric surgery, we provide pre-surgery assessments to ensure readiness.

Dr. Tamika Matthews

Dr. Matthews is a Clinical Psychologist and Licensed and Certified School Psychologist with active licensure in Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, and Oregon. With more than two decades of dedicated practice, she has built a distinguished career specializing in comprehensive educational and psychological assessments — serving individuals across the full developmental spectrum, from pre-kindergarten children to adult learners. Her work encompasses vocational evaluations, tailored interventions, and collaborative approaches designed to identify and address each individual's unique learning needs, fostering both academic achievement and personal growth.

Dr. Matthews also serves on the Guardianship Examining Committee in the Ninth Judicial Circuit, where she conducts in-depth evaluations of individuals alleged to be incapacitated. In this capacity, she assesses mental and physical condition to inform determinations of capacity for self-care and decision-making — work she approaches with both clinical rigor and a deep commitment to protecting the rights and well-being of those she evaluates.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Matthews is a proud mother to an amazing daughter and a devoted grandmother to a beloved grandson. Her heart for community is equally evident in her actions — she has volunteered countless hours and championed fundraising efforts for organizations including the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association, and the United Negro College Fund. For over 20 years, she has served as a mentor to teenage girls through Big Brothers Big Sisters, and she remains an active and engaged member of the Orange County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated — continuing to pour into her community with the same passion and purpose that defines everything she does.
